I moved around quite a bit growing up, but I was predominately raised in Austin. I moved to California in high school where I graduated and started college soon after. Ultimately I decided to move back to Texas to be closer to family and friends.
I switched major from science, to engineering, and lastly to mass communication. Digital Media Innovation struct my interest because I had never seen a degree like it before. DMI covers coding, analytics, web publishing all the way to media law, media writing, and basic journalism classes.
I feel like the technology elements mixed with mass communication puts students at an advantage in the work force. We have basic knowledge to allow us to have careers in tech, but we also learn to write and understand the fundamentals of digital media in the modern era.
My favorite book I've read so far is Demian by Hermann Hesse. If you have a chance to read it, I definitely recommend it.
I've spent a lot of time in Utah, Colorado, and Arizona. Some of the best hiking trips I've been on have been in Utah. Nature is a different type of beauty.
I recently found digital art and it's been amazing to see what people are capable of creating. I've always leaned toward painting, but digital art has inspired me to try something new.
